Cricket Mania

Guys I have been following the series between India and Sri Lanka very closely and I have to admit that its one of the best Cricket being played by India in a very long time. Its not tht the Lankans are playing bad, Its just that the Indians are playing too good.Last match is just an perfect example of it.The match was swinging between India and Lanka and for a moment it looked that Lankans will take it, but the new young guns Raina and Dhoni showed that the future of In dian ckt looks bright .They finished the match in style and played as gr8 mature cricketers.
I just hope they carry the good form all the way and Dravid can be the man to get us our lost glory.Long way to go but lets just pray for the best.Good luck India.

I don't know ... I don't think we should praise the team so much and expect huge from them as all four have been won (more or less) by individual performances. (Haven't _seen_ any of the matches so can't say for 100% but sounds like that from the BBC articles). Read a lot about improved fielding and planning. So the team has improved a lot (4 straight convincing wins is well deserved), but has a long way to go before competing against the best.

Match 1: Sachin Scores & Pathan bowls well
Match 2: Sachin scores again
Match 3: Dhoni's 183 blitzkrieg
Match 4: Again Dhoni scores. Agarkar bowls well on his ground(Pune). Middle order almost collapsed in this match. Final few saved the day.

More ardent Indian fans, please comment. Also, those who have watched the match can give more insight.

I agree with the fact that Indians are doing much better than their last pathetic form. Its really a great diwali dhamakaa gift, and looks all colourful.

But, it could merely be luck. If you see our batting, the Lankans fielded pathetically, and Indians were lucky in lots of ways. Dhoni in his amazing 3rd ODI, was playing like crazy, and had so many lofted shots, but was always lucky.

I also strongly believe that he is not the best batsman, but a hero, and I would like him to be just that way. He has the courage and the physical strength, and if they try to polish him, he might just lose all that spirit. I think Dravid did wonderful captaincy by allowing Dhoni to play his game, and not restricting him.
